Insiders Re-Evaluate Their CN¥20.3m Stock Purchase As Feiyang International Holdings Group Falls To HK$948m

Simply Wall St ·  01/11 18:07

Insiders who acquired CN¥20.3m worth of Feiyang International Holdings Group Limited's (HKG:1901) stock at an average price of CN¥1.08 in the past 12 months may be dismayed by the recent 79% price decline. Insiders purchase with the hope of seeing their investments increase in value over time. However, due to recent losses, their initial investment is now only worth CN¥3.91m, which is not great.

Although we don't think shareholders should simply follow insider transactions, logic dictates you should pay some attention to whether insiders are buying or selling shares.

Feiyang International Holdings Group Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

In the last twelve months, the biggest single purchase by an insider was when Non-Executive Director Yang Shen bought HK$5.3m worth of shares at a price of HK$1.05 per share. That means that an insider was happy to buy shares at above the current price of HK$0.21. It's very possible they regret the purchase, but it's more likely they are bullish about the company. We always take careful note of the price insiders pay when purchasing shares. As a general rule, we feel more positive about a stock if insiders have bought shares at above current prices, because that suggests they viewed the stock as good value, even at a higher price.

We saw some Feiyang International Holdings Group insider buying shares in the last three months. Executive Chairman & CEO Binfeng He shelled out HK$304k for shares in that time.
