What is a Limit Order

A limit order specifies an exact fill price. The order will only be filled when the current market price reaches the limit price.

● Limit orders do not guarantee that an order will be executed and filled.

● When a limit order is placed in the pre-market/post-market trading sessions, the orders will be submitted to the exchange immediately, and the order matching will be conducted according to the real-time market price. Note that the market bidding price difference in the pre-market and post-market time periods is large.

● A buy limit order can only be executed at the limit price or lower, and a sell limit order can only be executed at the limit price or higher. Any unfilled limit orders will be automatically canceled after the market closes.

● Edit or cancel orders: The original order is still in effect when you edit or cancel an order, and there may be situations in which the original order can not be cancelled or edited. The unfilled part of the limit order can be edited or cancelled.

● The order price will be calculated by multiplying the current price by the market order multiplier.

Pre-set orders: Placed after the stock market closes and queued for execution on the next trading day.

● Set outside RTH orders will be filled at 4:00 AM.

● Set RTH only orders will be filled at 09:30 AM.
