1. How to earn a 6% p.a. return?
(1) New customers who make their first deposit during the campaign and subscribe to any designated Moomoo Cash Plus fund (United Money Market Fund-Class R/Maybank Retail Money Market-I Fund/Eastspring Investments Islamic Income Fund-Class R) are eligible for a 6% annualized return for 30 days. This benefit applies only to the first fund subscription, with a maximum subscription amount of RM30,000 and a minimum subscription amount of RM0.01.
(2) If two funds are subscribed simultaneously, the one with the higher amount is the "preferred fund" (determined by subscription time, either manual or automatic via SmartSave). The 6% p.a. yield includes the fund’s inherent yield and Moomoo Securities (Malaysia)’s daily additional subsidy. The total additional return will be issued as a cash coupon to your Universal Account within 7 business days after the 30-day period.
(3) If the fund has a negative return, Moomoo Securities (Malaysia) will still calculate the cash subsidy based on a 6% annualized return.
(4) This benefit provides a maximum 30-day 6% annualized return for subscription amount of RM30,000. Principal is not guaranteed
2. When does the Moomoo Cash Plus 6% p.a. returns subsidy start?
From the date of first fund subscription confirmation + 30 days. Confirmation times vary by fund:
(1) Eastspring Islamic Income Fund-Class R: Subscriptions before 9:00 MYT → confirmed next day; after 9:00 → confirmed on the third day.
(2) The other two funds: Subscriptions before 12:00 MYT → confirmed next day; after 12:00 → confirmed on the third day. (Extended to the next business day for holidays.)
3. How is the daily subsidy for new customers calculated based on the 6% p.a. return?
If position amount < RM30,000: Daily new customer subsidy = (6% - Fund’s 7-day annualized return) / 365 × Daily position amount
If position amount ≥ RM30,000: Daily new customer subsidy = (6% - Fund’s 7-day annualized return) / 365 × RM30,000
Example 1: A customer subscribes to Maybank Retail Money Market-I Fund (7-day annualized return: 3.5%) for RM5,000 on November 14, with stock confirmation on November 16. The daily subsidy on November 14 is (6% - 3.5%) / 365 × RM5,000 = RM0.34.
Example 2: A customer subscribes to Maybank Retail Money Market-I Fund (7-day annualized return: 3.5%) for RM30,000 on November 14, with stock confirmation on November 16. The daily subsidy on November 14 is (6% - 3.5%) / 365 × RM30,000 = RM2.05.
4. For the same Cash Plus fund, if it is purchased twice, how will the 6% p.a. return subsidy be calculated?
The daily subsidy is calculated based on the daily subscription amount.
For example, a customer subscribed to Cash Plus fund for RM5,000 for the first time. 10 days later, the customer subscribed to the same fund again for RM5,000, therefore, the total position reaches RM10,000. To this kind of circumstances, the daily subsidy for the customer in the first 10 days will be calculated based on RM5,000. In the next 20 days, the daily subsidy will be calculated based on RM10,000.
5. Do I need to purchase Cash Plus through the event page?
No. After registering during the campaign, you can purchase Moomoo Cash Plus via any entry to qualify for the additional subsidy.
6. Can I redeem my funds at any time?
Yes. You may redeem your fund investment at any time, but the 30-day subsidy period for the 6% annualized return will not be suspended. Purchasing the fund activates the 30-day 6% annualized return period, during which you may redeem or increase your position freely. After the 30-day period ends, moomoo Securities (Malaysia) will calculate the total return based on your daily position amount over the 30 days. The subsidy will be transferred to your moomoo Securities (Malaysia) Universal Account within 7 working days.
7. Can I subscribe again after a full withdrawal of my initial subscription?
Your first subscription activates a 30-day return period, which continues even after full redemption. As long as you re-subscribe to the same fund within the 30-day period, you can still enjoy the subsidy for the remaining days.
8. What happens after the 30-day return period ends?
Once the 30-day return period ends, you will no longer receive the additional subsidy, but you can continue to earn the fund’s own returns. The additional subsidy will be issued in the form of cash coupons to your account within 7 working days after the initial 30-day period.
9. What happens if the selected fund generates a negative return?
Moomoo MY will calculate the cash reward subsidy based on a 6% p.a.. Customers will still be entitled to the 6% p.a. cash coupon from Moomoo MY, but the investment principal is not guaranteed.
