$Microsoft(MSFT.US)$$Sega Sammy Holdings (ADR)(SGAMY.US)$ Sega Sammy Holdings said on Monday that it will form a strategic cooperation with Microsoft (MSFT.US) to use Xbox's cloud gaming technology to develop large-budget games. This move may indicate that the cooperation between the two parties will be further deepened.
Sega said in a stock exchange statement that the company is exploring the production of global-oriented games on the Microsoft Azure cloud platform, but did not provide details including whether the transaction involves exclusive rights or capital investment in the game.
Sega said: "Through cooperation with Microsoft, we will jointly seek to establish more technological development, with the goal of optimizing the development process, and using Microsoft Azure cloud technology to bring players a high-quality experience."
