Aviation company GE expects supply restrictions to continue next year.
A GE aviation executive said on Wednesday that despite the slowdown in Boeing's production, the global supply chain may still face challenges even into next year. Russell Stokes, head of commercial engines and services at General Electric Aviation, said that while his company is keeping pace with Boeing's production rates this year, it is working with suppliers to support increased output in the coming years. "I believe that things will get better over time," he said. "But...this year and even next year is still a challenging environment." GE Aviation has a joint venture with France's Safran through its CFM.
