$Mortgage Finance(BK2479.US$ applications to purchase a home jumped 7% last week from the previous week. The average contract interest rate for 30-year fixed-rate mortgages with conforming loan balances ($548,250 or less) remained unchanged at 3.03%. Applications to refinance a home loan fell 3% for the week and were also 3% lower than the same week one year ago.
