Nice little pop

S&P500 and Nasdaq had a nice little 1% pop on Monday
Seems like the market was building on Friday’s weaker-than-expected jobs reports - much fewer jobs were added in April + a small rise in unemployment. This has given investors some hope and confidence that Fed may cut rates soon before the economy breaks down.
By the way, there are quite a number of Fed officials speaking this week (no less than 5)

Sell in May & Go Away? (US Stock Market Outlook)

FOMC meeting

Fed has kept interest rate unchanged at 5.5%. That’s 6th straight meeting of pause.
Powell said a rate hike is unlikely. But he also admitted that inflation is lacking progress towards their 2%.
His speech sounded neutral to me.
The market reacted positively by spiking up, but the pop quickly faded, and we went back to the level before Powell’s speech.

The first wave of spot Bitcoin and Ether exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have been officially approved to start trading in Hong Kong on April 30.
Hong Kong’s financial regulator, the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), declared the official approval of the first batch of Bitcoin and Ether ETFs on April 24, according to a press release shared with Cointelegraph.
