The company was founded in July 1998 and is a holding subsidiary of Anhui Golden Seed Group Co., Ltd. Golden Seed Liquor was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange on August 12, 1998. Its predecessor was the state-owned Fuyang County Distillery founded in July 1949. It is one of the first brewing enterprises in New China and a key enterprise in the national brewing industry. It has 10 branch (subsidiary) companies under its administration. The company is mainly engaged in the production of liquor; general freight (operating according to the license validity period); processing, manufacture and sale of packaging materials; acquisition of raw and auxiliary materials required for the production of liquor; self-operated and agent for the import and export of various commodities and technologies.
