The company started in 1984. On November 17, 1984, the contract and regulations for the joint venture construction and operation of the International Trade Center were signed at the Great Hall of the People. In February 1985, China International Trade Center Co., Ltd. was formally established with the approval of the State Council. On August 30, 1990, the first phase of Guomao, with a total investment of 520 million US dollars and a construction scale of 420,000 square meters, was fully opened.
