The port of Qingdao opened in 1892. It is one of the largest integrated ports in the world. It occupies the center of the Northeast Asian port circle and is an important international trade hub in the Western Pacific. The Company was founded on November 15, 2013, listed on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on 2014/6/6, and listed on the main board of the Shanghai Stock Exchange on January 21, 2019. The Group is the main operator of Qingdao Port. It operates and manages the five major port areas of Qingdao Qianwan Port Area, Huangdao Oil Port Area, Dongjiakou Port Area, Dagang Port Area and Weihai Port Area. It mainly provides handling and supporting services for various types of cargo such as containers, metal ores, coal, crude oil, etc., logistics and port value-added services, port supporting services and financial services. As of December 31, 2022, the Group operated 108 berths, including 68 dedicated berths for handling a single type of cargo and 40 general berths capable of handling metal ores, coal and other general goods. With natural water depth advantages and industry-leading facilities and equipment, services and management, the Group is able to dock the world's largest container ships, iron ore ships and oil tankers. In 2022, the Group's fully automated container terminal set a world record with an average single-machine operating efficiency of 60.18 natural containers/hour for bridge cranes, and the single-machine handling efficiency of iron ore continues to maintain the maximum operating efficiency of a single machine of 3,200 tons/hour.
