China Gold International Resources Co., Ltd. (“China Gold International” or the “Company”) and its subsidiaries (collectively, the “Group”) are a gold and basic metals mining company incorporated in British Columbia, Canada. The Company's main business involves the operation, acquisition, exploration and development of gold and basic metal minerals. The Company mainly operates the Changshan Hou Gold Mine (“Changshan Hou Gold Mine” or “Changshan Hou”) located in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of China and the Jiama copper-gold polymetallic mine (“Jiama Mine” or “Jiama Mine”) located in the Tibet Autonomous Region of China. China Gold International holds 96.5% of the Changshanhao gold mine, while the Chinese joint venture (“Sino-foreign cooperative enterprise”) holds the remaining 3.5% interest. Gold trial production began in July 2007 at the Nagayamago Gold Mine, and commercial production began on July 1, 2008. The company acquired 100% interest in the Jiama mining area on December 1, 2010. The Jiama mine is a large copper-gold polymetallic deposit containing resources of copper, gold, molybdenum, silver, lead and zinc. Commercial production of the first phase and phase II of the Jiama mine began in September 2010 and July 2018, respectively. The company expands the amount of existing asset resources and reserves through exploration. The Company has also formulated a growth strategy centered on strategic acquisitions. The acquisition targets are the international project channels of its major shareholder, China Gold Group Co., Ltd. (previously known as China Gold Group Corporation) (“China Gold”), as well as partnerships with other mining companies.
