The company was restructured and established as a joint stock company based on the former Sino-foreign joint venture China International Shipping Container Co., Ltd. with the approval of the Shenzhen Municipal People's Government in December 1992, and was reorganized into a standardized limited company on December 31, 1993. In January 1994, the Shenzhen Municipal People's Government approved the company's public issuance of 12 million A shares to the public and 13 million B shares to overseas investors. On 1994/3/23 and 4/8, the company's B shares and A shares were listed separately.
