The company was founded in November 2004 in Beijing, exclusively initiated by Shenhua Group Co., Ltd. China Shenhua was listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and Shanghai Stock Exchange in June 2005 and October 2007, respectively. The main business includes coal production and sales, electricity production, heat production and supply, and related transportation services for railways and ports. The main products include polyethylene (production capacity about 300,000 tons/year), polypropylene (production capacity about 300,000 tons/year), and a small number of by-products (including industrial sulfur, mixed carbon 5, industrial propane, mixed carbon 4, industrial methanol, etc.).
