PetroChina Gas Group Limited (the "Company") (stock code: 603) and its subsidiaries (collectively referred to as the "Group") are mainly engaged in investment in natural gas and energy related businesses. The Group's business includes urban pipeline gas operation, pipeline design and construction; transport, distribution and sale of compressed natural gas ("CNG") and liquefied natural gas ("LNG"); and development, production and sale of other upstream energy resources such as crude oil and natural gas.
As a supplier of urban pipeline gas services, the Group supplies urban natural gas through long-distance pipelines. The Group has obtained 71 gas franchises and established an urban pipeline network to provide stable and abundant natural gas resources for local households, industry and commerce and other users. As a non-pipeline natural gas supplier, the Group has set up two LNG plants in Qinghai Province, China. At the same time, the Group has built a number of CNG filling stations to ensure that the Group's natural gas supply remains stable throughout the year. These facilities facilitate the supply of natural gas to cities not yet covered by a pipeline network and are regarded as an emergency backup gas source for the Group.
As the main operator of vehicle natural gas filling stations in China, the Group already has 63 natural gas filling stations nationwide. All kinds of cars, public transport vehicles and long-distance passenger vehicles can be converted into natural gas operation systems at affordable costs. Some provinces will provide subsidies to car owners who are willing to convert their cars into natural gas operating systems. With the support of the national government, the Group provides low-cost, clean and environmentally friendly natural gas energy to the transport industry.
As the operator of natural gas feeder pipelines, the Group has invested in natural gas pipelines with a total length of about 16950 km in 16 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions. Apart from increasing the revenue of natural gas pipeline transportation, the construction of regional pipelines can also promote the development of the natural gas market along the downstream.
The Group has developed a large natural gas transportation and logistics business in China, including the establishment of LNG and CNG transport fleets, enhancing the liquidity of the Group's natural gas supply and expanding its coverage.
As a producer of upstream energy resources, the Group is engaged in the development, production and sale of crude oil and natural gas resources in Alberta, Canada. the Group's oil and gas production business has proven reserves of about 26.04 million barrels of oil equivalent and proven plus controlled reserves of about 41.4 million barrels of oil equivalent, with an average daily output of 4936 barrels of oil equivalent in 2021. The Group's oil and gas production business has an in-production energy business and an experienced and outstanding management team, a stable production portfolio, strong profitability and broad room for growth.
