The Shenzhen-Guangzhou-Pingshi Railway, operated independently by the company, has an operating mileage of 481.2 kilometers and runs longitudinally through the entire territory of Guangdong Province. The Guangping section is one of the main railway routes from mainland China to Hong Kong, connecting Beijing-Guangzhou, Beijing-Kowloon, Sanmao, Pingnan, Pingyan, the Xia-Shenzhen Railway, the Sui-Guanshen Intercity Railway, the Ganshen Railway and the East Railway Line of the Hong Kong Railway. It is an important part of China's railway transportation network. The passenger transport business is the company's main transportation business, including Guangzhou-Shenzhen intercity trains (including Guangzhou-East to Chaoshan intercity trains), long-distance buses, and direct bus transportation services across the port. The company's Guangzhou-Shenzhen intercity trains are operated by public transportation. On average, 1 pair of “Harmony” electric trains run between Guangzhou-Shenzhen every 10 minutes during peak passenger traffic periods. The cross-harbour express operated by the company in cooperation with the Hong Kong Railway Company Limited is one of the important means of transportation between Hong Kong and Hong Kong. The company organizes a number of long-distance passenger trains that start and end at Guangzhou and Shenzhen, reaching most provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government. The freight business is an important transportation business for the company. The company not only has complete freight facilities and can effectively transport vehicles, LTL, containers, bulky goods, dangerous goods, fresh goods, and oversized goods, but the railway lines it operates are closely connected to major ports in Guangzhou and Shenzhen. At the same time, it is also connected to a number of large industrial zones, logistics parks and mining enterprises in the Pearl River Delta region through special railway lines. The company's main market for cargo transportation is medium- and long-distance transportation in inland China, and it has a competitive advantage in medium- to long-distance cargo transportation in inland China. The railway operation service is an extended passenger and cargo transportation business developed by the company since the opening and operation of the Wuguang Railway in December 2009. At present, the company has provided this service to Wuguang Railway, Guangzhou-Zhuhai-Intercity Railway, Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Railway, Guangzhou-Zhuhai Railway, Xia-Shenzhen Railway, Guangdong Railway, Guiguang Railway, Pearl River Delta Intercity Railway, Maozhan Railway, Shenmao Railway, Meishan Railway, Guangshi Railway, Ganshen Railway and Nansha Port Railway. Railway operation services have become a new business growth point for the company. In the future, as a series of high-speed railways and intercity railways in the “Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area” are completed and put into operation one after another, the company will provide a wider range of railway operation services.
