The Guangping section is one of the main railway routes from mainland China to Hong Kong, connecting Beijing-Guangzhou, Beijing-Kowloon, Sanmao, Pingnan, Pingyan, the Xia-Shenzhen Railway, the Sui-Guanshen Intercity Railway, the Ganshen Railway and the East Railway Line of the Hong Kong Railway. It is an important part of China's railway transportation network. The passenger transport business is the company's main transportation business, including Guangzhou-Shenzhen intercity trains (including Guangzhou-East to Chaoshan intercity trains), long-distance buses, and direct bus transportation services across the port.
