Chinese Real Estate Group is an investment holding company mainly engaged in the development and sale of properties. The Company and its subsidiaries operate through six major segments: property Development and Trading Division; non-Retail property Leasing Division; Retail property Leasing Division; unlisted Investment, Investment holding and Brokerage Services Division; listed investment and treasury products segment held for trading; and listed equity investment segment, which reflects fair value through other comprehensive income. The property Development and Trading Division is engaged in property development and sales in Hong Kong, mainland China and the United Kingdom. Its property portfolio includes retail, office and residential units. The listed investment and treasury products segment is engaged in listed securities investment, over-the-counter trading and structured products held for trading.
Chinese Real Estate Group ("the Group") is one of the major real estate developers in Hong Kong. Chinese Estates Holdings Limited (Chinese Real Estate Group), the parent company of the Group, is listed on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited. The core business of Chinese Real Estate includes investment property leasing and sales of development properties. The Group is based in Hong Kong and also holds property interests in mainland China and the United Kingdom.
Chinese investment properties include shopping malls and office buildings. Most of the Group's investment properties are located in Hong Kong's superior business districts such as Causeway Bay and Wan Chai. In addition, Chinese property owners also own investment properties in mainland China, including offices in the high-quality business district of Shanghai, five-star international hotels in Beijing and shopping malls in Luohu, Shenzhen. Over the past two decades, Chinese property owners have continued to enhance the value of their properties through property redevelopment, renovation and renovation projects, resulting in a significant increase in rental income.
