The Government announced today (30) that eligible persons born in 1961 can apply for a personal Octopus card "Lok Yau Card" specially designed for the government public transport fare concession scheme for the elderly and eligible people with disabilities ($2 concession scheme) through the Octopus App mobile app or mail form from tomorrow (December 1). The Lok Yau Card contains the personal photos and names of eligible beneficiaries, and each eligible person can only hold one. The Government will subsidize the application fee of $20 for eligible persons to apply for the Lok Yau Card for the first time. Applicants are not required to pay any additional application fee.
