Oriental E H (00018.HK) issued an announcement on June 7th stating that the board of directors meeting will be held at 23 Dongfang Media Center, Dachang Street, Taipo Industrial Estate, Hong Kong on Friday, June 21, 2024. The board of directors will discuss, consider and pass resolutions at the meeting, including the publication of the annual performance of the company and its subsidiary companies as of March 31, 2024, proposed final dividends (if any), and handling other matters.

On June 7th, Grong Hui reported that Oriental E H (00018.HK) announced that, for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2024, the Board of Directors expects the Group to record a net comprehensive surplus attributable to owners of the Company ranging from approximately HKD 65 million to HKD 80 million. Compared with the same period last year, the net comprehensive surplus attributable to owners of the Company was about HKD 167 million. The announcement stated that the decline in surplus was mainly due to (i) insufficient local economic activity, which directly led to a decrease in the Group's media business income; and (ii) no longer providing government support subsidies during the reporting period, while providing such subsidies in the same period last year.
