Whoa, Aussie home building approvals dipped 0.3% in April, surprising the market that was expecting a 1.8% boost! Looks like private detached houses took the biggest hit, sliding 1.6%. Our market crapped itself after inflation data topped market expectations. Housing, food and insurance was the driver of higher prices while holidays apparently got cheaper (hey ABS – those cheap holidays you are recording are just clickbait!)
