The type of order that can be placed varies with each product. You need to select the applicable type when placing an order.
Lmt Price: You can specify an order price. But be aware that the specified price needs to be an integer multiple of the spread, i.e., the smallest allowable change in share price. Otherwise the order may not be submitted to the exchange.
Mkt Price: the last traded price of the symbol.
Mid Price: (best bid price + best ask price)/2, as adjusted to the nearest integer multiple of the spread.
BBO: the best ask price in the case of a sell order; the best bid price in the case of a buy order.
Buyable on Margin: After being multiplied by a percentage, it will be automatically rounded down to the nearest board lot. For example, assume you can buy on margin 156 shares of Tencent Holdings, and you place an order for 100% of that quantity. The final order size will be 100 shares (1 lot of Tencent Holdings is 100 shares).
Buyable on Cash: After being multiplied by a percentage, it will be automatically rounded down to the nearest board lot.
Sellable Positions: After being multiplied by a percentage, it will be automatically rounded down to the nearest board lot.
Shortable: After being multiplied by a percentage, it will be automatically rounded down to the nearest board lot.
Short Positions: After being multiplied by a percentage, it will be automatically rounded down to the nearest board lot.
Losses can happen more quickly with quant and algorithmic trading compared to other forms of trading. Trading in financial markets carries inherent risks, making effective risk management a crucial aspect of quantitative trading systems. These risks encompass various factors that can disrupt the performance of such systems, including market volatility leading to losses.
Moreover, quants face additional risks such as capital allocation, technology, and broker-related uncertainties. It's important to note that automated investment strategies do not guarantee profits or protect against losses.
The responsiveness of the trading system or app may vary due to market conditions, system performance, and other factors. Account access, real-time data, and trade execution may be affected by factors such as market volatility.
