Phoenix New Media Hong Kong shares | Volkswagen Financial Holdings (00626) released its annual results for the year ended December 31, 2021. The profit attributable to the owners of the company was HK $496 million, an increase of 25.05% over the same period last year; basic profit per share was HK $0.452.
During the period, operating income was HK $1.515 billion, down 2.75% from the same period last year.
The announcement said that during the year, the group's total interest expenses fell 60.1 per cent to HK $167.8 million compared with the same period last year, mainly due to a drop in the cost of capital for customer deposits. As a result, the group's net interest income increased by 4 per cent to HK $1.28 billion.
