Phoenix New Media Hong Kong Stock | bit Yuan Tang (00897) announced that for the interim results for the six months ended September 30, 2021, the profit attributable to the owners of the parent company was HK $14.1 million, compared with a loss of about HK $227 million in the same period last year.
During the period, revenue was about HK $656 million, up 28.8% from a year earlier, and gross profit was HK $275 million, up 59.4% from a year earlier.
According to the announcement, the profit was mainly attributable to the combined impact of the group's investment impairment of about HK $209 million in the same period last year in the company's former associate, Yi Yi Financial Group Limited, and the group's income increased by 28.8% over the same period last year.
