MTU Aero Engines AG gave a financial guidance for 2022 and up to 2024 during its capital market day, saying that operatng profit is expected to exceed pre-pandemic's levels by 2024.

In its initial forecast for 2022, the German aircraft-engine manufacturer said all its divisions should grow organically next year and group revenue should come between 5.2 billion euros and 5.4 billion euros ($5.89 billion-$6.11 billion), which compares with EUR3.98 billion in 2020. Revenue should then keep growing up to 2024, it said.

The company expects its adjusted earnings before interest and taxes to rise in the mid twenty-percent range next year and said it should exceed pre-pandemic's levels by 2024.

"MTU is well-positioned to return to its growth track in 2022, secure an above-average share of the recovery in the sector and therefore exceed the 2019 level by 2024," Chief Executive Reiner Winkler said.

The commercial maintenance business should perform the best next year, with expected revenue organic growth in the mid to high twenty-percentage range, MTU added.
