Chinese Stocks End Mixed as Developers, Coal Miners Rebound -- Market Talk

0740 GMT - Chinese stocks finished mixed, as new-energy sector and auto makers declined, while property developers and coal miners rebounded. Solar-panel maker LONGi Green Energy shed 9.0% amid talk that it could face a U.S. import ban due to allegations of forced labor, while electric-car battery maker CATL fell 2.7%. BYD Co. and Great Wall Motor fell 3.5% and 5.4%, respectively. Among gainers, Poly Developments rose 5.6% and Gemdale Corp. advanced 4.3%, while Yanzhou Coal and Shanxi Coking Coal each surged 10%. The Shanghai Composite Index dropped 0.2% to 3498.54, the Shenzhen Composite Index edged 0.1% higher and the ChiNext Price Index lost 0.4%. (clarence.leong@wsj.com)
