Tesla, Inc. recalled more than 11700 cars after it was found that his so-called fully autopilot system (Full Self-Driving system) could lead to an increased risk of rear-end collisions after a software update.

Tesla, Inc. told the State Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) that there were no reports of accidents. Tesla, Inc. has released free wireless software updates to solve the problem and will send letters to car owners.

Tesla, Inc. uninstalled the wrong version of fully autopilot software after receiving reports of accidental activation of the automatic emergency braking system, NHTSA said in a statement. The company told NHTSA that it had updated and reinstalled the software on its car as part of a beta version of a feature that Tesla, Inc. hopes to one day make his vehicle self-driving.

"within hours, we investigated these reports and took action to reduce any potential security risks," Tesla, Inc. said in a document. "there is no need for car owners to take further action."

NHTSA said it would "continue its dialogue with Tesla, Inc. to ensure that any security defects are detected and resolved in a timely manner."

The recall covers some of the 2017-2021 Model Squarter Model 3 and Model X and 2020-2021 Model Y models.

Tesla, Inc. fell 6.9% in pre-market trading in the U.S., after CEO Musk said the electric car maker had not yet signed a contract with car rental company Hertz Global Holdings Inc. To sell 100000 vehicles.
