Eni, Point Resources Weigh Listing for Var Energi

Eni SpA and Point Resources AS are planning to review the ownership structure of Var Energi, including a potential listing for the exploration and production company.

The Italian oil-and-gas major said Tuesday that the review would consider various alternatives including an initial public offering for Var Energi, of which Eni and Point Resources own 69.85% and 30.15% respectively.

Eni said it would will retain a majority stake in Var Energi, established in 2018 through the merger of Eni Norge and Point Resources.

Point Resources is a HitecVision AS portfolio company.
