According to Phoenix Technology, Tesla, Inc. CEO Elon Musk (Elon Musk) attended the Volkswagen Group executives' meeting online on Saturday as an "unexpected guest" and delivered a speech to Tesla, Inc. 's top managers, one of his biggest competitors. He discussed Volkswagen's transformation to electric vehicles, his management style, and supply chain and production issues.

At the invitation of Volkswagen CEO Herbert Dis (Herbert Diess), Musk delivered a speech in the form of a video conference. He called Volkswagen the benchmark of the auto industry and was confident that Volkswagen could successfully turn to electric cars.

Under Mr Deiss, Volkswagen is seeking to become one of the world's largest electric carmakers and plans to use its largest car plant to compete with the one Tesla, Inc. is building near Berlin. At the conference, Deiss urged Volkswagen managers to complete the transition to electric cars as soon as possible.

Mr Musk told Volkswagen at the conference that Tesla, Inc. was more agile than other carmakers because of his management style, he was first and foremost an engineer, and he was obsessed with supply chains, logistics and production processes.

Mr Deiss said Tesla, Inc. 's response to the global chip shortage was "impressive", using its development software to switch to different chips in just two to three weeks. "Volkswagen needs a new way of thinking to deal with the new competition," he said on LinkedIn. "it's nice to hear that even our strongest competitors believe that if we push for transformation, we can make it."

He tweeted on Saturday that Volkswagen would expect to have a conversation with Tesla, Inc.. "We will visit you at Greenhead soon." Dees said. Tesla, Inc. is currently building a super factory in Greenhead, Brandenburg, Germany.
