Orlando Bravo, co-founder of private equity firm Thoma Bravo, said he owns Bitcoin and is "very optimistic" about Bitcoin.
"how could you not like cryptocurrency?" The billionaire said at the Delivering Alpha conference in CNBC on Wednesday.
Bravo says he likes the limited supply of bitcoin and expects more people to use it in the future. Institutions are just beginning to accept digital currency, and if that happens, it will be good for demand.
September has been a difficult month for Bitcoin, which has fallen about 11% so far this month and is on track for its worst monthly performance since May.
Bitcoin was trading at $41789.50 at 11:47 in New York, up 44 per cent so far this year. In 2020, the currency tripled.
