Robinhood, a US stock broker, is testing new encrypted wallets and cryptocurrency transfers for its app, a long-awaited move that will make it easier for customers to trade digital currencies such as bitcoin.
With encrypted wallets, consumers can use virtual currencies without having to convert them into dollars. They also provide customers with a single place to store all virtual currencies protected by private keys.
Vlad Tenev, CEO of Robinhood, said adding encrypted wallets is a top priority for the company's developers, and dog coin lovers are in particular demand for this feature. But he did not say when the official version would be released.
