周一美股期指早盘下跌 道指2021年首次连续三周下跌

Us stock futures fell in early trading on Monday. For the first time in 2021, the Dow fell for three consecutive weeks.

At Dow Jones.U. S. stock index futures fell overnight on Sunday after the industrial average fell for the first three consecutive weeks since September 2020.

Dow futures fell 65 points, or 0.2%. S & P 500 Index Futures fell 0.2%, Nasdaq100 index futures fell 0.2%.

The stock market struggled in September, the month when the market was seasonally weak.

The Dow closed down 166.44 points, or 0.5%, at 34584.88 on Friday. The s & p 500 fell 0.9 per cent to 4432.99 and the Nasdaq composite index fell 0.9 per cent to close at 15043.97.

Friday's trading volume for the S & P 500 was its biggest since July 19 and more than double its 30-day average. Friday coincides with the expiration of stock options, index options, stock futures and index futures-a quarterly event known as "quadruple witchcraft".

All three major averages for the month are negative, but they are still less than 3% below all-time highs.

The Fed's much-anticipated September meeting is scheduled for this week. Federal Reserve Chairman Colin Powell will hold a news conference at the end of the two-day meeting on Wednesday. Investors are waiting for insights into the Fed's easing of monetary policy.

Mr. Powell has said the so-called retrenchment could happen this year, but investors are waiting for more details, especially after mixed economic data since Mr. Powell's last comment.

"there are factors that build a 'wall of worry' (i.e. supply chain issues, Fed policy, debt ceiling, infrastructure / tax bill), although the market is not much disrupted at the moment. Normal pullbacks and fluctuations are predictable and we will use these periods as opportunities, "Raymond James Chief Investment Officer Laria Don said in a report."

Investors are still waiting for Adobe Inc this week.、 FedEx Corp, Darden Restaurant, Nike IncAnd Costco release a series of major quarterly earnings reports for financial results.
