25 are broken, 24 are broken! The reason why the Fukushima nuclear sewage filter is damaged has not been investigated by Tepco.

Beijing, Sept. 15 (Xinhua) Comprehensive report, Japan's Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant accidents, the management of Tokyo Electric Power Company announced a few days ago, used to filter nuclear sewage "multi-nuclide removal equipment" (ALPS), 25 filters have 24 damaged. As a matter of fact, Tepco found the problem of damage two years ago, but it did not analyze the causes and put forward countermeasures. It just replaced it and continued to use it.

After the nuclear accident at Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant in March 2011, units 1 to 3 melted down. Since then, Tepco has continued to inject water into the safety shell of the unit to cool the core and continue to produce sewage. The sewage is purified by ALPS and stored in the nuclear power plant.

On September 13th, Tepco reported the ALPS filter damage accident at the meeting of the Atomic Energy Regulatory Commission of Japan. It is reported that in late August, when Tepco sounded an alarm during the transfer of nuclear pollutants to a new container, the company found that one of the ALPS filters was broken, and then checked the other filters and found 24. After changing the filter, some of the equipment resumed operation on September 7.

Agence France-Presse said the filter is used to prevent radioactive particles from spilling into the air when ALPS is working. Tepco said it did not find an increase in radiation around the building where ALPS is located, but there is no denying that radioactive particles may be leaked into the buildings of the nuclear power plant.

Notably, Tepco also reported that it had found that all 25 ALPS filters were damaged two years ago, but management only ordered the replacement but did not report it, nor did it investigate the cause of the damage and take relevant preventive measures.

Japan's Atomic Energy Regulatory Commission criticized on the 13th that Tepco "has great problems in management." The member, accompanied by Xinyan, said bluntly, "apart from the problem of broken filters, the most fundamental thing is the attitude of Tepco." In this regard, Tepco said that it is necessary to reflect on the matter, will analyze the reasons and discuss fundamental countermeasures.

In fact, there have been several highly radioactive sewage leaks at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant over the past decade. This year alone, nuclear waste containers are known to have leaked three times. The last time it was exposed in July, there were cracks in the top covers of two metal containers storing nuclear contaminated soil, and Rain Water overflowed into the container, contaminating the surrounding gutters.

Japanese media believe that the leak may have occurred for several months, radioactive material is likely to have entered the sea through the river. Mistakes in nuclear pollution management have constantly sparked anger among the Japanese public, and some "Twitter" users have criticized Tepco for "deliberately concealing the truth, impropriety and dishonesty" and should not tolerate such enterprises to continue to manage nuclear power plants. Some netizens lamented that ten years after the nuclear disaster, many people are still homeless. "if we do not learn the lessons of nuclear pollution, it will be impossible to support the LDP government to restart nuclear power in the future."
