Us fiscal and taxation software giant Intuit is in talks to buy email marketing startup Mailchimp for more than $10 billion, according to people familiar with the matter.
No final decision has been made and the talks could break down, people familiar with the matter said. As the matter has not been made public, these people spoke on the condition of anonymity. They also say another bidder may also emerge.
Mailchimp was formerly a web design company called Rocket Science Group. The company provides digital marketing services for small businesses, including social advertising, shopping links and automated products.
