Ford MotorProduction of North America's best-selling Fmai 150 pickup truck and two cars will be cut again next week because of continuing global chip shortages, it said on Thursday.
The company said it would stop production at its assembly plant in Oakville, Canada, and Kansas City, Missouri, during the week of Aug. 30. The Oakville plant makes Ford Edge and Lincoln Nautilus models, and the Kansas City assembly plant makes Fmur150 pickup trucks, which stopped production this week.
In addition, the company will cut three shifts to two shifts at the Dearborn truck factory in Michigan next week, which also makes Fmur150 pickup trucks.
