On March 14, 2025, the Global logistics service operator Jitu Express (01519.HK) received another boost in its efforts towards automation as the group has integrated the DeepSeek large model to assist in enhancing human resources efficiency and clarity in international package standards, reducing training costs for various employees, and plans to continue developing applications throughout the logistics full chain and in multiple dimensions.
DeepSeek is an open-source reasoning large model based on reinforcement learning that performs exceptionally well in code and natural language reasoning tasks, offering advantages such as low cost, high efficiency, and support for multiple languages, with operating costs significantly lower than similar products on the market, which benefits the company's automation upgrade plans.
Currently, Jitu has deployed and applied the DeepSeek large model in multiple application scenarios. For example, the group’s human resources service account uses AI for intelligent querying, achieving knowledge integration, automated Q&A, and smart training support, solving issues such as the dispersion of institutional documents, repeated problem-solving, and inefficiencies in training, thus improving the efficiency of employee inquiries and reducing the workload of manual Q&A by over 50%. In addition, by integrating the DeepSeek large model with the customer service corpus, using NLP, deep learning, and Big Data to build an intelligent knowledge base system aims to enhance customer service efficiency, reduce learning costs, and optimize customer experience. After the system's launch, the training time for new employees was shortened by approximately 20%. Meanwhile, based on the intelligent assistant for couriers developed from DeepSeek, it helps couriers improve operational efficiency, shorten the training period for new couriers, enhance service levels, and further optimize collection and delivery efficiency.

Jitu is committed to continuously promoting global refined operations through its self-developed technology system, maintaining its industry advantage as an independent global e-commerce enabler, with annual R&D spending reaching 48.9 million USD in 2024. Through ongoing R&D, the company has accumulated profound AI and algorithm capabilities, integrating them into four major platforms: address resolution platform, Big Data management platform, early warning and decision-making platform, and AI large model platform, empowering algorithm planning for delivery strategies and routes, cargo volume forecasting and intelligent capacity scheduling, as well as full-link monitoring, early warning, and optimization in intelligent applications, driving continuous cost reduction in collection, transportation, distribution, and management.

Yao Xiaolong, Vice President of Information Technology at Jitu Express Group, stated: "Our business spans Southeast Asia, China, the Middle East, and Latin America. How to efficiently coordinate operations and services across regions and languages has always been a pain point we face, and AI has provided us with convenient and reliable solutions. In the future, the group plans to further expand the application of AI large models, creating a full-link intelligent logistics solution covering customer acquisition, parcel collection and transportation, and after-sales service, while deeply improving the application of AI in various scenarios."
