It will take at least three years for vehicles made by Chinese tech companies to hit the market, an analyst said.

Companies are adopting various tactics to find a footing in the domestic auto market, UBS analyst Paul Gong, said.

Baidu (9888) is making use of its web map service available; Foxconn, which manufactures electronic products, focuses on auto parts; consumer electronics producer Xiaomi may make cars of its own brand, and Huawei focuses on key hardware and software, Gong said.
