With the S&P 500's Wednesday record close, this further adds to the index's year-to-date performance, moving it toward having its best-performing year of the 21st century if stocks continue rising this month.

After Bitcoin hit the $100,000 mark on Wednesday night, crypto-related companies$MicroStrategy (MSTR.US)$ and $Coinbase (COIN.US)$ traded higher but have reversed course this afternoon to trade lower.

$American Airlines (AAL.US)$ is trading 16% higher after the company selected$Citigroup Inc (CITI.CA)$ as its credit card provider.

Top of mind for traders now is Friday's impending unemployment numbers. Polled by Dow Jones, economists have forecast the U.S. economy adding 214,000 jobs last month. The unemployment rate is seen as rising to 4.2%, up from November's 4.1%.
