$Humana (HUM.US)$ fell 8% Tuesday after announcing its 2025 Medicare Advantage offerings.
For 2025, Humana will have 793 individual Medicare Advantage plans throughout the country with members having a $2,000 cap on their out-of-pocket drug costs. Part D coverage will not have not have a coverage gap phase. In 2025, Humana's Medicare Advantage plan offerings will encompass 48 states, plus Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico. This represents 89% of U.S. counties having coverage.
“Based on member feedback, Humana is including coverage for new glasses every year in every plan with a vision benefit. Humana also is offering plans with comprehensive dental coverage that includes deep cleanings, fillings and crowns in nearly every county it serves,” the company said in a statement.
Amid the news, the Humana Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Humana Inc. (NYSE: HUM), announced a $1 million donation towards relief and recovery efforts for those impacted by Hurricane Helene. Humana has also taken steps to aid members and communities in the storm’s path, including providing simplified access to medical and emergency prescription information, and opening a crisis hotline with free counseling available.
