With the help of the generative AI wave, Dell, which had been dormant for a while, has now joined the ranks of AI trendsetters.

Before you know it, Dell's stock price has hit a record high.

As the wave of generative AI swept through, Dell's stock price hit a record high of $166 on Friday, with a cumulative increase of 114% this year.

In addition to the new AI computer products released this week, Dell also has to thank GPU giant Nvidia for their partnership.

Since Nvidia's stock price surpassed $1,000 and Dell reached another strategic cooperation this week, the two sides will join forces to help the company build its own one-stop “artificial intelligence factory.

This leaves room for imagination in each other's stock prices.

As one of the world's largest computing infrastructure vendors, Dell serves government agencies and businesses of all kinds; it can help Nvidia fill this gap in the market.

And the AI computer introduced by Dell this week may also be the next battleground.

The research report released by Morgan Stanley on the 21st predicts that AI computers will be the next key factor driving the growth of the PC market. It is expected that the market penetration rate of AI computers will rapidly grow from 2% this year to 65% in 2028.

With such a large market space, how could Dell let go.

Dell's five new AI computers this week are all equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon X series AI processors and built-in neural processing units (NPU), which can speed up AI inference. In line with Microsoft's Copilot function, they are already half a smart assistant, which can help users automatically complete a series of tasks such as summarizing documents and writing memos.

Dell hopes to use AI computers to revive the PC business, which has always been in trouble.

Dell CEO Michael Dell also said, “We will be delivering new AI computers in large quantities this year. It is expected that by next year, these AI computers will become the standard computer standard for people.”

The transformation from a traditional computer manufacturer to an AI service provider took Dell 8 years. Starting with the AI explosion in 2016, it began All in AI.

Since 2018, Dell has successively introduced high-end storage PowerMax and PowerEdge AI servers with built-in machine learning engines. To today's AI computers, Dell can be described as firmly binding itself to AI rockets.

Now, it seems like it's harvest season.
