JTEKT Corporation (Headquarters: Kariya-shi, Aichi; President: Kazuhiro Sato; hereinafter “JTEKT”) will be exhibiting at the Toyota Tsusho Corporation booth at FCVC 2024 [International Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Vehicle Conference & Exhibition @上海] to be held at the Shanghai Automobile Exhibition Center from 2024/6/4 to 6.
Exhibition Overview
As the hydrogen society expands, there is interest in automobiles that use hydrogen as fuel, such as fuel cell vehicles (FCEVs) and hydrogen engine vehicles. At this exhibition, JTEKT will be exhibiting high-pressure hydrogen supply valves and pressure reducing valves, and will propose solutions that contribute to the realization of a hydrogen society and the achievement of carbon neutrality.
Main products exhibited
1. 2nd generation “high pressure hydrogen supply valve” for fuel cell vehicles
It is a valve that is attached to a tank where high-pressure hydrogen, which is used as fuel for FCEVs, is stored, and seals and supplies high-pressure hydrogen.
The second-generation valves are mounted on Toyota Motor Corporation's FCEV “MIRAI”.
2. 2nd Generation “High Pressure Hydrogen Pressure Reducing Valve” for fuel cell vehicles
This valve reduces the pressure of high-pressure hydrogen supplied from the valve to a pressure suitable for use in fuel cell stacks. The second-generation pressure reducing valve is also mounted on Toyota Motor Corporation's FCEV “MIRAI”.
3. 3rd generation “high pressure hydrogen supply valve” for fuel cell vehicles
This is a high-pressure hydrogen supply valve for commercial vehicles where a higher flow rate is required compared to passenger cars. It boasts twice the hydrogen supply flow rate compared to conventional models, contributing to the conversion of commercial vehicles to FCEVs.
4. “High Pressure Hydrogen Pressure Reducing Valve” for hydrogen engine cars
This is a high-pressure hydrogen pressure relief valve mounted on hydrogen engine automobiles that run by burning hydrogen with an engine. The high-pressure hydrogen supplied from the valve is reduced to the required pressure by the engine. Currently, we are proceeding with development by utilizing core technology for high-pressure hydrogen pressure reducing valves for fuel cell vehicles.
