Shiseido's global luxury brand “Clé de Peau Beauté” will focus on the power of ions and sell the treatment powder foundation “Tampoodle Ecla II” [4 products in total, reference retail price 550 yen to 11,000 yen (tax included)], which also achieves skin care effects that powder foundations have not been able to achieve until now, all over the country starting 2024/7/21 (Sun).

◆ Adopts a new moisture ion formula that goes beyond the common sense of powder foundation and achieves both serious skin care and makeup effects. The powder, which contains the unique skin care ingredient “Skin Illuminator MK*1,” evenly envelops the skin and provides moisture.
◆ The unique technology Light Empowering Enhancer, developed by focusing on the brilliance of diamonds, manipulates light to naturally cover uneven color and pores. It creates a silky matte finish that combines luster and foggy that shines from within.

Launch background
Since the birth of the brand in 1982, Clé de Peau Beauté has focused on “the beauty of individuality” and has aimed to “express that personality as beautifully as possible.” As for base makeup, in addition to correction effects and diverse finishes that make full use of light technology and powder technology, we have also pursued skin care effects and have developed products that achieve the natural beauty of the skin.
Now, when developing a new powdery foundation, we conducted an awareness survey among consumers, and it was found that powdery foundations are less satisfied with expected values in terms of the sustainability of makeup effects and skin care effects. Therefore, the Clé de Peau Beauté Institute developed a moisture ion formula focusing on ions. We have blended the unique moisturizing ingredient “Skin Illuminator MK,” which was difficult to incorporate into powder formulations until now, and it has been possible to further enhance the durability of makeup effects. Furthermore, the Light Empowering Enhancer, which is a common technology for Clé de Peau Beauté's base makeup, naturally covers skin problems and gives a finish that looks beautiful from bare skin.
Moisture ion formula
Clé de Peau Beauté Laboratories has developed a moisture ion formula focusing on the power of ions that attract positive and negative in order to achieve the formulation of a unique ingredient skin illuminator MK and further enhance the sustainability of makeup effects.
As a result of research, it was discovered that while ion values on the skin surface are usually negative, general powder surfaces used in powder foundations are also negative. Since the compatibility between powder and skin surface is low, it was found that the durability of makeup effects decreased. Based on this knowledge, a moisture ion formula to coat negative powders with ionic components having positive characteristics and “skin illuminator MK” was realized through approximately 300 prototypes using a unique process. It provides moisture, and also achieves a lasting effect on the finish.
light empowering enhancer
The “Light Empowering Enhancer,” which was developed inspired by the light structure of diamonds, is an advanced optical formulation technology unique to Clé de Peau Beaute that maximizes the radiance of bare skin and achieves a beautiful, radiant finish. Since 2020, it has been installed as a common technology for base makeup.
We have developed a unique technology that combines makeup and skin care based on the knowledge that beautiful, radiant skin has a light structure that is illuminated from within in addition to the light and radiance on the surface of the skin, similar to diamonds. Provides moisture and creates an environment where more radiance can be incorporated into the skin. It also manipulates the radiance on the surface of the skin to achieve a naturally radiant finish. Like a diamond, it uses brilliance on its side, manipulates light on the surface and inside of the skin, and enhances a radiant finish. Instead of covering problems with powder or pigments, it is an approach that makes skin problems less noticeable with the power of light, making the most of the beauty of bare skin starting from the skin.
