Sharp will release 5 models of the 4K TV “AQUOS XLED” (GP1/GP2 line) equipped with a mini LED backlight. In addition to the 75V/65V/55V models up until now, we have a new lineup of medium-sized 50V/43V models. You can choose the size according to the installation location, such as a living room, bedroom, or personal space.
The “GP1 Line” is equipped with a newly developed “N-Black Wide Panel” that employs quantum dot technology. It achieves high brightness and wide color gamut even when viewed from an angle. You can enjoy overwhelming brilliance and colorful images even in scenes where you sit on the couch and watch sports games with family and friends, or watch dramas while working in the kitchen. Furthermore, the brightness of the high-density mini LED backlight is improved by approximately 15% compared to our conventional models*2 due to the “active mini LED drive” technology that finely controls the brightness according to the image. It has achieved a beautiful contrast between the highest brilliance and tight black in AQUOS history.
Furthermore, for all models, image quality and sound quality are automatically adjusted “leave it to us” by the image processing engine “Medalist S5X,” which employs a next-generation AI processor. Now, we have newly developed an “AI super resolution” function that utilizes AI to enhance the sense of detail, and an “anime net clear” function that smoothly corrects gradation disturbances that tend to occur in anime and internet videos, and creates clean images. In terms of sound quality, AI analyzes audio signals, enhances realism when watching live music or sports, and automatically makes adjustments suitable for the scene, such as making voices clear and easy to hear during in-between lines and explanations.
“ARSS+” (ARSS+) (AROUND SPEAKER SYSTEM PLUS), which emits sound from speakers above and below the screen forward, is used for the “GP1 Line” acoustic system. Additionally, it is equipped with a “power voice speaker” that reproduces clear and powerful sound, and achieves a high output of 100W*3. It creates a sense of unity between video and sound, and you can experience a powerful, enveloping sound space.
All models are equipped with Google TVTM. You can access over 400,000 movies, TV shows, etc. from over 10,000 apps, and Google TV organizes and proposes content that matches your preferences from various apps by genre, etc. You can search for movies, play music, etc. with your voice by pressing the Google Assistant button on the remote control.
