Updated Tesla Model 3 As 'Go-To EV' In New Review

Benzinga ·  May 15 12:21

Tesla Inc's (NASDAQ:TSLA) Model 3, dubbed the "Highland," has reportedly corrected many of the issues previously cited with the original model, such as interior quality and ride comfort.

It also enhanced its visual appeal with design updates including slimmer headlights and a more refined front fascia.

Despite being introduced back in 2017 and rapidly rising to popularity by outselling other Tesla models combined, the Highland edition builds on its legacy with significant improvements.

The Model 3's facelift not only makes it more aesthetically pleasing, but also improves its aerodynamics, which helps extend its driving range slightly. The interior is said to be more luxurious, with additions like Alcantara door cards and LED mood lighting.

These enhancements address previous criticisms of the car's premium feel. Additionally, the vehicle now features a rear passenger screen and reconfigured storage solutions that add to its practicality and comfort.

Tesla has also adjusted the vehicle's controls, removing traditional stalks and incorporating functions into a redesigned steering wheel, a change that has received mixed feedback from drivers. The suspension tweaks have made the ride smoother, though some may find it affects the car's handling dynamics.

InsideEVs' endorsement of the changes underscores the Model 3's continuing appeal, even as it faces newer and competitively priced rivals globally.
