According to people familiar with the matter, Vanguard Group (Vanguard Group) is preparing to appoint Salim Ramji (Salim Ramji), a former BlackRock (BlackRock) executive, as the next CEO.
A former head of BlackRock's exchange-traded fund (ETF) and index investment business, Ramgee has been praised for expanding BlackRock's trillion-dollar iShares ETF division. He left the asset management company in January of this year, when he said he was looking for new leadership positions or entrepreneurial opportunities elsewhere.
