The Zhitong Finance App learned that recently, CLP Optoelectronics Valley (00798) signed cooperation projects with the Jiangdong New District of Heyuan City and the Hailing District of Taizhou City to explore a “new engine” for foundry development on the basis of building a solid “ballast stone”.
On May 11, CPC Optoelectronics Valley signed a project investment agreement with the Jiangdong New Area of Heyuan City. It plans to invest 5 billion yuan to jointly build the OVU Intelligent Manufacturing Park (Heyuan). The park project covers a total area of about 1,200 acres, and construction of the 200-mu initial development area will begin in the third quarter of 2024. Focusing on the key points of the “14th Five-Year Plan” of Heyuan City and the Jiangdong New Area and the direction of the “Five Major Industries”, the focus is on building industrial clusters represented by electronic information, advanced materials, auto parts, food and health, etc., to help the Jiangdong New Area become an important carrier for industrial transfer in the Pearl River Delta and a new engine for regional industrial upgrading.
In response, Zhu Yongsheng, secretary of the Party Committee of the Jiangdong New Area of Heyuan City, said that although the Jiangdong New Area has advantages in terms of ecology, resources, location, policy, and industry, it lacks a complete park operation system. As a leading industrial park operator in the country, CLP Optoelectronics Valley's high-quality industrial development capabilities with integrated system planning and comprehensive operation are believed to bring a “qualitative leap forward” to Heyuan's industrial development.
It is worth noting that previously, on May 7, CLP Optoelectronics Valley also signed a cooperation agreement with the Eastern Intelligent Manufacturing Port Project in Taizhou (Beijing) with Hailing District of Taizhou City at the Taizhou (Beijing) Industry Matchmaking Conference. The planned land use for the CLP Optics Valley Eastern Intelligent Manufacturing Port Project is about 1,062 mu, with a total investment of about 12 billion yuan. Of these, the first phase will use about 218.4 mu of land, with a total investment of about 3 billion yuan.
CEP Optoelectronics Valley and Hailing District will give full play to their respective advantages to comprehensively promote the high-quality development of industry, economy, and urban construction in Hailing District, and build a new industrial highland with regional influence, perfect support and sustainable development using China Electronics and CEPCO's industrial resources as ecological traction.
