Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Nishi-ku, Yokohama-shi, Kanagawa-ken; President: Makoto Uchida) announced that Toyota Tatsuo (Toyoda Tatsuo), who belongs to the Construction Division of Nissan Motor Kyushu Co., Ltd., which is a production subsidiary, received the “Yellow Ribbon Medal” in the Reiwa 6 Spring Medal (*).

Since joining the company in 1982, Toyota has been engaged in equipment maintenance work, and has greatly contributed to productivity improvement activities through numerous ideas and improvements in the maintenance of a wide variety of mechanical equipment at automobile production facilities. Toyota, which has obtained the National Mechanical Skills Certification Level 1 in 3 occupations and has also acquired highly skilled finishing workers, has carried out practical education (disassembly, assembly, accuracy, etc.) that also serves as guidance for junior technicians by utilizing high skills to regenerate deteriorated equipment for processing equipment that requires particularly high accuracy, and has inherited its own skills. Also, in machine maintenance mechanical work occupations, I served on the National Skills Certification Committee for 10 years, making a major contribution to the development of skilled workers who will lead the next generation, both inside and outside the company.

Furthermore, in Reiwa 4, Toyota received the Minister of Health, Labor, and Welfare's Award “Modern Master Craftsman,” which is awarded to outstanding skilled workers, and this time, it has now received the Yellow Ribbon Medal.
