- Dell Technologies (NYSE:DELL) has suffered a data breach that could potentially impact information from 49M customers, Bleeping Computer reported.
- Dell is currently investigating the incident, in which a Dell portal with "limited" information from customer purchases was involved, the news outlet added.
- Information that was taken includes name, physical address and hardware and order information. Financial and payment information, email addresses and telephone numbers were not among the information that was stolen. Dell is working with law enforcement on the matter.
- "We believe there is not a significant risk to our customers given the type of information involved," Dell told Bleeping Computer.
- Dell did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Seeking Alpha.
