After the “May 1st” holiday, ticket prices gradually dropped compared to peak periods. According to Tongcheng travel data, in the first week after the holiday, domestic air ticket prices fell by nearly 20% compared to peak holiday periods, and the average international air ticket price dropped by more than 10% compared to mid-season. The “Cuofeng Tour” crowd, which is mainly a group of people with silver hair and college students, chose to travel after the holiday season.

On the Tongcheng Travel platform, popular routes such as Beijing to Chongqing, Kunming, and Fuzhou, and Shanghai to Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Harbin will all have discount tickets of less than 15% off within the next month. In terms of international air tickets, the ticket price from Beijing to Seoul on May 11 (excluding tax) was as low as 8 yuan, and air tickets (excluding tax) from Beijing and Shenzhen to Ho Chi Minh City were also as low as 100 yuan.

Hotel reservation prices also dropped significantly. Among them, the average price of a three-star hotel dropped the most obvious. The average price of a three-star hotel for a week after the holiday was reduced by 32% compared to the middle of the holiday season, and the average price of four-star and five-star hotel reservations decreased by 27% and 22%, respectively, compared to the middle of the holiday season.

The relevant person in charge of Tongcheng Research Institute explained that after the holidays, it is usually a good time to visit the wrong peak. Airline tickets and hotel prices have all dropped slightly compared to peak holiday periods, and the number of people in the scenic area has decreased at night, so you can get a better travel experience.
