On Friday morning, US corn futures rose about 1% to $464.75 per bushel, a record high in nearly four months.
Since the beginning of this week, corn prices have risen by more than 3% and are expected to record a second consecutive week of gains.
US corn futures rose 3.8% last week and are currently at their highest level since January 5.
