Iris Energy Limited (IREN) has announced an ahead-of-schedule expansion, increasing its operating hashrate to 9 EH/s and expecting to reach 10 EH/s by May 2024. The company is on track to double its hashrate to 20 EH/s within the year, while also expanding data center capacity from 460MW to 510MW, thanks to improvements in construction and procurement processes. IREN operates with a commitment to renewable energy, powering next-generation data centers for Bitcoin mining, AI, and high-performance computing applications.
