According to reports, Tesla will lay off 693 workers at its Nevada plant as part of the company's 10% global layoff plan announced earlier this month.
Tesla has submitted a notice to the Nevada Department of Employment, Training, and Rehabilitation indicating its intention to cut 693 employees at the Nevada Sparks plant.
Earlier this month, Tesla announced plans to lay off about 14,000 employees, or 10% of its global workforce.
According to Tesla's WARN notice previously submitted to Texas and California, starting June 14, Tesla will lay off 3,332 employees in California and 2,688 jobs in Texas, affecting a total of more than 6,000 jobs.
The company also plans to lay off about 400 workers in Germany and 285 workers at the Buffalo Solar Plant in New York starting July 15.
